One of the great things about hosting TBN’s Praise the Lord show is that Laurie and I get to rub shoulders with some awesome people doing awesome things for God’s kingdom. Louie Giglio is one of those individuals. He’ll be our special guest on Praise the Lord this Friday, Nov. 20th (7 p.m. Pacific, 11 p.m. Eastern).
Louie’s heart is to reach today’s generation with the life-changing message of God’s grace. Over the last twenty years his Passion Movement has encouraged close to a million college students and young people to go all out in their love and commitment for Jesus.
In 2008, sensing the need to take that message to their own community, Louie and Shelley Giglio joined a small team that included worship leaders Chris Tomlin and Matt Redman to launch Passion City Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Today Passion City is powerfully impacting the Atlanta area with God’s love and mercy.
Friday night Louie will sit down with Laurie and me to share the powerful message of God’s grace and persevering love. “Isn’t it amazing that God is so patient and long-suffering,” Louie says. “We don’t have that as human beings. If someone were to walk out on us, deny us, bail out on us after we did a three-year investment in their lives, had done miracles in their midst, invited them into a grand story, and then they denied us … and went back to their old life, we would cut them off in a heartbeat…. Hallelujah that God does not treat us like that!”
