We Can Reach Our World for Christ — Here’s How!

by Laurie Crouch

I was incredibly blessed and challenged not long ago when Matt and I sat down with Pastor Greg Laurie and his wife Cathe to hear about the upcoming Harvest America outreach event in Dallas March 6th, and to talk about the why and how of evangelism — why every Christian should share their faith in Christ with others, and how each of us can do that in a way that is sincere and effective.

As we talked one thing became clear: telling others about Jesus is something every believer should do. “We are commanded by Christ as His followers to go into all the world, proclaim the Good News of Jesus, and to the best of our ability lead them to Christ,” Greg explained.

It also became clear that for most of us, sharing our faith means simply staying sensitive to the many everyday opportunities God gives us to help others experience Jesus’ love in ways that are relevant to their personal lives.

Cathe brought this truth home to us in a powerful way as she shared how God dropped an opportunity in the path of her and a friend recently to pray with a young lady and lead her to faith in Christ. Watch this short video as Cathe recalls how God unfolded this opportunity:

As I listened to Cathe’s story I couldn’t help but reflect upon how many times throughout our busy days each of us comes into contact with people who need the love of Jesus. The opportunities are endless. If we would simply ask God to quicken our hearts to those opportunities He places in our paths to share His hope and grace through a simple prayer, a word of encouragement — or even leading someone to faith in Christ — just think how we could impact our neighborhoods and communities for all eternity. I want that and I know you do too.

As it happens, the March 6th Harvest America event is a perfect opportunity for you to introduce a friend, loved one, or someone else to the life-transforming love of Christ. Greg, Cathe, and the Harvest America team are expecting 80,000 or more people to pack AT&T Stadium in Dallas to hear some awesome music from Chris Tomlin, Lecrae, Switchfoot, and MercyMe — along with a clear message of God’s love from Greg.

But you don’t have to live in the Dallas area to participate. Harvest America will be streamed live from AT&T Stadium to thousands of host sites nationwide on Sunday, March 6th (Click Here to find a location). Plus, we’re excited to be airing Harvest America live on TBN’s own JUCE TV youth network beginning at 6:30 p.m. Eastern (Click Here for broadcast availability in your area). Also, TBN will be airing the entire Harvest America event on March 6th at 7 p.m. Pacific.

Why not take a friend or family member to a broadcast event in your area? Or prayerfully invite friends and family who need Jesus to your own home to watch this powerful presentation of the Gospel via JUCE TV or TBN? You’ll actually be joining thousands of individuals and congregations around the nation who are doing the same thing.

I am convinced that with individuals just like you and me reaching out to others with the love of Christ right where we live, God’s people can powerfully impact the world for His kingdom.
